There are stories of brave people, even whole tribes who shunned the Overlords of Content for a time. Most of them were never heard from again, victims of blogfade, podfade, other forms of obscurity. Eventually their names were stricken from the obelisks and statues, their names erased from the records of that time.

In many cases, not even the grand storyteller of our age—the Wayback Machine—finds no trace of these individuals, their IP Addresses lost to time, handles released, domains grabbed by resellers.

A few made it back from the wasteland, forever scarred. They don’t speak of it. We never speak of it. The Horror.

The horror.
