2016 In Review

So in this year, here's what I managed to accomplish:

I got a dream job.

I got to go home.

I rediscovered a fascination with photography.

I got to share an amazing anniversary getaway with Kimmers.

I got to spend some amazing time with good friends.

I watched my boys grow up and I watched my daughter find her inner weirdo.

I got to tell my most personal story in front of a crowd of people.

I got to make an ass out of myself in front of (nearly) that same crowd of people.

I got to appear on four podcasts that I didn't make, one of which was literally my dream guest appearance.

I helped three people with their own podcast ideas, which has become a possibility to help more.

I got through a really long period of mourning and came out the other side with clarity.

I released 107 podcast episodes this year.  Downloads were down year over year, but I'm ok with that.

I got my studio space back, my time back, my very much needed blocks of quiet solitude back, and I got my health back.

I got my competitive drive back. That took ten years to find.

All in all, I got Kris back; the slightly mad nexus of passion and warfare that was always there has resurfaced with something new tacked on to the fiddly bits at the end: Focus.

That's what 2017 will be.  Passion.  Warfare.  Intensity.  Focus.
